Andover Archers had a great day at the Chris Sherwood Memorial Shoot at AC Delco Bowmen, with a good turnout of both seniors and juniors who came away with lots of medals and prizes.

We welcome Daniel and Megan Grobler to the team, both shooting as Andover members for the first time. Both compounders came away with medals; Megan placing first in her age category whilst Dad, Daniel, took third in the gents category and was part of the Compound Team, alongside Vicky Loader, Paul Baptiste and Simon Smith, who were victorious.

Treve Eddy achieved a silver medal in the Gentlemen Recurve Category whilst Abbie Loader defended her title of first Ladies Recurve, beating AC Delco shooter Stephanie Everest by only 2 points! Both archers, alongside Ian Portman and Shaun Ashby took silver in the team competition.

Brett Stringer broke yet another county record, and secured victory in the Gents Barebow competition, by nearly 200 points!

Once again, our juniors refused to be outdone. Vicky Loader, stepped up to shoot amongst the adults and came in first, securing her first ‘senior’ gold medal! Sophie Meyrick, Sassy Meyrick and Kerry Stringer all placed first in their corresponding age categories and disciplines, and Alex Bedford secured a second place medal, just missing out on first!

A massive congratulations to all those who took part. And once again, a ginormous thank you to AC Delco Bowmen for hosting such a great competition and being such wonderful hosts.
