Andover Archers have retained the magnificent Diana Trophy at this year’s tournament hosted by Harlequin Bowmen. The team, comprising Simon Smith, Chris Newman, Andy Johnson and Abbie Loader were victorious once again having first captured the valuable award just twelve month’s ago.
It proved to be a very successful day as in addition to the team victory, Chris Newman won the Gents Recurve with Andy Johnson in second place and Vicky Loader took the Ladies Compound Trophy. Ned Oak took bronze in the gents recurve Windsor round. Our juniors also recorded a 100% success at the tournament and it really was a case of the brothers and the sisters! Alex Oak won the under 16 gents recurve with younger brother Thomas Oak winning the under 14 gents recurve. Sophie Meyrick won the under 16 ladies compound with younger sister Saskia Meyrick winning the under 14 ladies recurve.
