Only two juniors from Andover Archers took part in this year’s Junior National Outdoor Championships but once again they did the club proud and maintained our fine recent run of form in this prestigious National event!
Sophie Meyrick won Silver medals on both Saturday and Sunday in the under 16 compound category to continue her excellent run of recent months. Sister Saskia Meyrick shot in one of the hardest sections of the tournament with no less than 25 girls competing in the under 14 recurve. Sassy finished in 12th place both days but smashed the club record for the Bristol 4 on the Sunday.
Congratulations to both young ladies who looked splendid in the new shirts they had received as a gift from Quicks Archery.
