A quartet of Junior Ladies from Andover Archers, competed in glorious sunshine at the Bowmen of Warfield UKRS Junior Open Short Metric tournament on Saturday 14th July 2018.
Solid competitive performances from Aliyah Ramirez (U14 Recurve), Saskia Meyrick (Bronze – U14 Recurve) and Kerry Stringer (Silver – U14 Longbow), were followed up by an amazing display of control from Sophie Meyrick, who not only took the Gold in the U16 Compound and the trophy for the highest compound score but, also gained a new UK National Record for the Short Metric III.
Topping off the day for this quartet of Andover representatives, their hard work was rewarded with a Team Silver Medal, which was a happy surprise to them all.
A lovely well-run shoot only for Juniors, which hopefully will see a few more of our members able to attend next year.
