The 31st January 2016 saw 11 Andover Juniors turn out for the Talisman Junior Shoot near Southampton. Sadly, due to a shoulder injury one of our juniors, Alexander Oak, was forced to pull out from the competition at the last moment, knocking us down to 10.
Victoria Loader, Sophie Meyrick, Sassy Meyrick, Matt Buckwell, Martin Kairys and Nicholas Kairys represented the club once more and were joined by first time competitors Zach Burton, Aliyah Ramirez, Connor Smallcombe and Thomas Oak.
Our juniors shot extremely well securing prizes for all those who shot and a total of 5 new personal bests, one score equal with a personal best and one score one point off a personal best! All this despite a serious case of nerves in a few of the juniors (shooting with the shakes is understandably not easy!). As well as putting in the scores, our juniors displayed impeccable etiquette and worked as a solid team by supporting each other and constantly smiling!
